Subject: "Virtual" Groucho Party
Aloha ,
so it's that time again, February I mean, and I have a birthday this month, on the 18th in fact.
Now by a strange set of circumstances I am once again of
no-fixed-abode, twice in as many years, what are the odds of such an
occurrence ?
depends upon wether you believe in probability I guess, I
don't particularly, it's bad math and bad science, anyway I digress.
So last year, due to similar circumstances, not particularly living
anywhere I mean, I tried to host a "Virtual" Groucho Party and had a
reasonably good turnout.
You can see the pictures here

`Whats a "Virtual" Groucho Party ?' I hear you cry
To quote from last years email
"Essentially a Groucho Party is a twist on a fancy dress party where
by everybody comes dressed as Groucho Marx.
Now until I am in a position to be able to host such an event, and
because it is unlikely that you will make it over to ..."
Now before I go on, I should point out that if you would be prepared
to fork out for a return trip to
Hawaii
, don't be put off,
I currently have nowhere to put you up, but if you make the effort I
won't turn you away, but it is not essential to the plan at hand ...
" ... because it is unlikely that you will make it over to attend such
an event any time soon, I have decided to host it virtually,
this means that like all good parties you won't remember being there,
but you will have to provide your own hangover.
The plan is this ....
Take a picture of yourself wearing a pair of glasses and a greasepaint
or false moustache, and smoking a cigar ( or cigar type object ;)
and send it to me, either for my birthday, or as soon as is possible.
Then I will display them on the web somewhere, or even better if you can host your own picture and I'll link to it."
Now the advantage we have this year is that we have flickr
and so if you have a flickr account you can host your picture there and I can link to it, thus saving my valuable webspace, however I too have a flickr account
http://flickr.com/people/samh101/
and so I will probably be hosting pictures there.
As always gatecrashers are welcome, the more the merrier ( hey, I
don't have to clean up after you all :O)
so if you know anyone else who would like to take part, get a picture of
them, send it to me, it's all good.
So, what do you think ?
