Hey, hows it goin' ?

well it's that time of year when it is decided that I am a year older ...

... however I am still marooned in Newcastle, and although I am being evicted, am obliged to stay here for a while longer.

Anyway as I say it is going to be my birthday on the 18th and basically I have had an idea that has amused me, and hopefully will amuse you too :)

I am planning a "virtual" Groucho Party.

Essentially a Groucho Party is a twist on a fancy dress party where by everybody comes dressed as Groucho Marx. Now until I am in a position to be able to host such an event, and because it is unlikely that you will make it over to Newcastle to attend such an event any time soon, I have decided to host it virtually, this means that like all good parties you won't remember being there, but you will have to provide your own hangover.

The plan is this ....

Take a picture of yourself wearing a pair of glasses and a greasepaint or false moustache, and smoking a cigar ( or cigar type object ;) and send it to me, either for my birthday, or as soon as is possible.

Then I will display them on the web somewhere, or even better if you can host your own picture and I'll link to it.
